Ekstrem™ armchair

Ekstrem is not just an armchair, but almost a work of art, which represents the first example of Norwegian postmodern design. Its unusual geometry allows you to sit forwards, with your feet on the ground, sideways with your legs resting on the armrests, or backwards, with your torso against the back of the armchair. A sitting experience that can only be described as out of the ordinary.

Ekstrem is made with a steel structure, covered in foam and with a mesh fabric covering available in six colours. Knit is a Devold fabric, worked from a single continuous thread that offers the elasticity necessary to cover the organic shapes of the armchair. The resulting fabric is soft, breathable and has a classic square weave.

It supports you in unexpected ways

Its unusual geometry allows you to sit forwards, with your feet on the ground, sideways with your legs resting on the armrests, or backwards, with your torso against the back of the armchair. A sitting experience that can only be described as out of the ordinary.

Play, experiment and change positions. With Ekstrem™ there is no right or wrong way to sit.

Sit on your side or turn upside down, resting your arms on the back of the chair.
